Traditional Express TX push-fit cast iron soil pipe

Traditional Express TX is a push-fit cast iron soil system with the look of traditional socketed pipe. Each socket carries an EPDM sealing ring, so joints need no caulking or sealing and are much quicker to make. Pipes and fittings come in 50mm and 100mm, factory finished in black gloss with an epoxy-lined bore, for internal and external use. It suits heritage buildings where the stack should look traditional but a faster, cleaner installation is wanted. The range includes pipes in 3m and 1.5m to 1.8m lengths, push-fit sockets, couplings, bends, branches, access and boss pipes, offsets, tapers, blank ends and brackets.

What is the difference between Traditional Express TX and LCC soil pipe?

Both have a socketed appearance. LCC joints are caulked and sealed, and the pipe is bitumen coated. TX joints push together on EPDM sealing rings, and the pipe is finished in black gloss, so it is quicker to install and easier to paint.

Does Traditional Express TX need caulking?

No. Each socket has an EPDM rubber sealing ring. Lubricate the spigot and push it home. Tubes of lubricant are available in the range.

Is Traditional Express TX suitable for listed buildings?

Yes. It is cast iron throughout and keeps the socketed appearance of a traditional stack. If the original stack is LCC and like-for-like replacement is required, check with the conservation officer first.

What sizes does Traditional Express TX come in?

50mm and 100mm. Pipes are available in 3m lengths and in 1.5m to 1.8m lengths.
