The Traditional Express TX is a push-fit cast iron soil pipe system for above-ground soil and waste installations on period, listed, and conservation buildings. Unlike the traditional LCC socket-and-spigot system, TX pipes have no integral socket — they push into separate rubber-sealed push-fit sockets, eliminating the need for lead caulking or specialist jointing skills. The system conforms to BS 416 Part 2 and BS EN 681-1.
The TX Single Branch connects one secondary soil or waste pipe into the main TX stack. Available in a range of bend angles and diameters: 50x50mm at 45° or 87.5°, 100x50mm at 45° or 87.5°, and 100x100mm at 45° or 67.5°. Pre-painted black gloss finish. From £73.85 +VAT. Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
Hopper heads are supplied in red oxide primer ready for on-site painting, or pre-finished in black. A full range of Heritage Colours in traditional linseed oil paint is also available on request — please contact us for the swatch chart.

We are able to place dates and initials and insignia onto most of our flat faced rainwater hopper heads.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available with 65mm, 75mm and 100mm round outlets, 75mm, 100mm and 125mm square outlets, and 100x75mm, 125x100mm and 150x125mm rectangular outlets, to match the downpipe already on site or specified for the project.
The H525 measures 270mm wide x 208mm deep x 285mm high, making it well suited to smaller period properties, extensions and outbuildings.
The polished chrome telescopic rooflight hand winder is suited to contemporary, Georgian-revival, and high-specification interiors where a bright chrome finish is required to complement existing ironmongery. It is compatible with Lumen Rooflights and timber-framed skylights.
Satin chrome has a brushed, low-sheen finish suited to contemporary interiors, while polished chrome has a bright mirror finish. Both are available in the telescopic hand winder range at Tuscan Foundry. The choice typically depends on the existing ironmongery specification.

Yes. The ornamental foliate pattern was widely used in Victorian construction and is appropriate for Grade II listed buildings and conservation area properties. Its decorative character is often preferable to a plain pattern on prominent or formal elevations. We recommend confirming the pattern with your conservation officer as part of any listed building consent application.
