The TX Push-Fit Slip Socket Eared is an eared socket fitting for the Traditional Express system with a slip (or expansion) joint design that allows the pipe within it to move axially — accommodating thermal expansion and contraction in the run. Particularly useful on long, exposed vertical runs where temperature variation is greater. The integral ears allow direct wall fixing.

Half round gutter has a simple semicircular profile and is the most widely used pattern across all building types and periods. Ogee (OG) gutter has an S-shaped decorative profile, historically associated with Victorian and Edwardian properties. Moulded ogee profiles, such as the G46 and Regent No.16, have a more elaborate cross-section with additional mouldings and are typically found on larger or more architecturally significant buildings. The correct choice depends on what is already present on the building and any requirements set by a conservation officer.
In most cases, replacing like-for-like cast iron guttering on a listed building does not require Listed Building Consent (LBC), provided the replacement matches the existing profile, material, and finish exactly. However, any change of material away from cast iron will almost always require consent.
