The Victorian 4 Column cast iron radiator at 353mm height (V4-35) is the lowest height in the Victorian range — a compact low-level radiator for skirting positions, low window sills, and tight wall spaces where no taller radiator can fit. The four-column profile is true to period originals at this reduced height, making it the appropriate specification for listed and heritage properties where cast iron radiators are part of the interior specification.
This variant is supplied in white primer — ready for on-site painting in any specified colour. The primer finish is particularly suitable for conservation and restoration projects where an authentic heritage colour or finish will be applied on site.
Supply and assembly: Supplied in individual sections. Available pre-assembled up to 20 sections ready for installation. Supplied as a floor-standing version with integrated feet as standard — the wall-mounted only version must be requested at time of order. The radiator is supplied with ½” connections. Valves are not included and must be purchased separately if required.
Feet positions: Up to 20 sections — 2 feet, one at each end. Odd numbers 21–39 sections — 3 feet, one at each end and one centrally. Even numbers 22–40 sections — 4 feet, one at each end and 2 evenly spaced. Wall bracket requirements increase proportionally for larger radiators.

The standards for our cast iron gutters and pipes have remained remarkably constant for many years. The physical properties of cast iron are sustained throughout its lifetime thus maintaining its effectiveness. Coupled with is durability and proper maintenance, we would expect our traditional cast iron rainwater products to last for over 50 years under normal conditions.
The right size depends on the width of your gutter run and the volume of water you need to collect. The Strayton H42A is available in four widths: 305mm (12"), 355mm (14"), 457mm (18"), and 610mm (24"). As a general guide, wider hoppers suit larger roof areas and heavier rainfall zones. Our cast iron airbricks are supplied in primed finish, ready for on-site painting. This allows them to be finished to match the existing ironwork or masonry colour of the building. Standard black gloss is the most common finish for conservation and heritage projects.
Tuscan Foundry's cast iron hopper heads are available in Standard Black and Heritage Colour finishes. A linseed oil paint finish is also offered — a sustainable, vapour-permeable option particularly appropriate for listed buildings and conservation projects. We manufacture a wide variety of brackets for many different cast iron gutter and pipe profiles. More common types are the rise and fall, top fix and side fix rafter and the holderbat or pipe clip.
We can also offer traditional drive brackets, repair brackets and fascia brackets in both steel and cast iron.
It is always advisable to replace like with like because quite often the brackets form and important part of the buildings architecture. Occasionally buildings have special decorative brackets and our UK manufacturing allows us to produce small quantities of bespoke brackets when required.
The Ornamental Airbrick is suited to Victorian villas, bay-fronted terraces, Gothic Revival institutional buildings, church halls, and civic buildings where decorative ironwork is part of the architectural language. It is also appropriate for listed buildings and conservation area properties where the airbrick is on a prominent elevation and the ventilation grille is expected to carry decorative character.
The Antique Black cast iron version is suitable for external use. The Polished Lacquered version is best suited to interiors or sheltered external locations where the polished finish will be protected from weathering. The Polished Brass version is suited to interior and semi-exposed locations. For external applications on exposed elevations, the Antique Black finish is the recommended specification.
The louvre face provides directional airflow and offers some resistance to driven rain entering the subfloor void, making it a practical choice for exposed elevations or properties in areas with significant prevailing wind and rainfall. The square-grid (school board) pattern offers a larger open ventilation area but less weather protection.

The Ornamental Airbrick (OAB) is available in three sizes: 225mm × 75mm (2.8kg), 225mm × 150mm (4.1kg), and 225mm × 225mm (5.8kg). All sizes have a uniform depth of 75mm, making them consistent to install across a subfloor ventilation course.
