Tuscan EN877 Soil is a socketless cast iron soil, waste and rainwater system made to BS EN 877. Plain-ended pipes and fittings are joined with stainless steel or ductile iron couplings, giving a slim, continuous line on a façade or in a service riser. Cast iron is non-combustible, quiet in use and very long-lived. That is why it remains the specification of choice for heritage buildings, tall stacks, and anywhere acoustic performance or fire safety matters.
A one-piece offset that steps the run sideways by 75mm. It replaces two bends and a short pipe, so there are fewer joints.
Product code HS4044. Nominal weight 2.6 kg.
Typical use: Stepping a stack around a plinth, string course or other projection on the face of a building.
| Item | Product code | Nominal weight |
|---|---|---|
| Offset 75mm Projection | HS4044 | 2.6 kg |
Often used with: 15° Short Radius Bend, Double Spigot Pipe 3m, Rapid Connect Coupling, Heavy Duty Bossed Pipe Bracket.

Measure how far the stack must step out, from the face of the wall line above to the line below. If no standard offset suits, two bends with a cut pipe between them can make any projection.

Yes. Cast iron hopper heads are the historically correct choice for listed and period buildings, and a like-for-like cast iron replacement is generally accepted without objection by conservation officers. We manufacture to BS 460 for genuine heritage character and durability.
Victorian properties most commonly used Ogee (OG) gutter profiles, including the standard Cast Iron Ogee and the G46 Moulded Ogee. Half Round guttering was also widely used, particularly in the later Victorian period. The correct profile depends on what is already present on the building — we recommend inspecting any surviving sections and matching the profile, size, and socket direction exactly. We supply 19 standard gutter profiles and can copy-cast any non-standard profile from a drawing, photograph, or physical sample.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
Yes. Cast iron access pipes to BS 460 are the like-for-like choice for listed and period buildings, and fitting access points avoids damaging historic pipework when clearing blockages. We recommend confirming any changes with the conservation officer.
Hopper heads are supplied in red oxide primer ready for on-site painting, or pre-finished in black. A full range of Heritage Colours in traditional linseed oil paint is also available on request — please contact us for the swatch chart.
This opener is particularly well suited to period and heritage properties — Georgian and Victorian terraces, conservation area houses, traditional orangeries, and listed buildings where a brass finish is required to complement existing ironmongery. It is compatible with Lumen Rooflights and most timber-framed skylights.

The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
