The LCC Soil Plain Shoe is the plain-ended termination fitting at the base of a cast iron soil stack, directing the flow from the vertical pipe run into the underground drain without integral ears. Fixed using a separate holderbat or bracket at the base position, the plain shoe allows the fixing point to be chosen independently of the fitting location — useful where the base detail requires the bracket at a position dictated by the masonry rather than the shoe fitting itself.

Yes. Churches and ecclesiastical buildings are one of our most common project types. We regularly supply large sand cast gutters, rectangular and square downpipes, and bespoke hopper heads for church restorations. Many churches have non-standard profiles that require copy casting. We work directly with architects, church fabric advisors, and quinquennial inspection surveyors. Historic England and many Diocesan Advisory Committees specify cast iron as the appropriate material for listed ecclesiastical buildings.
The H527 measures 430mm wide x 195mm deep x 540mm high, making it well suited to Victorian villas and townhouses where a decorative leader head is wanted.
Satin chrome has a brushed, low-sheen finish suited to contemporary interiors, while polished chrome has a bright mirror finish. Both are available in the telescopic hand winder range at Tuscan Foundry. The choice typically depends on the existing ironmongery specification.
The Paxton H82 is a large-format hopper with decorative collar mouldings, making it particularly well suited to late Victorian and Edwardian buildings where the rainwater system forms part of the architectural composition. Typical applications include commercial heritage buildings, civic buildings, large detached houses, institutional premises, and warehouse conversions where a more substantial fitting is appropriate.

Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
