The LCC Soil Loose Eared Socket is a separate cast iron socket collar with integral ears that fits over the spigot end of a plain or cut pipe to create a new eared jointing collar. Used where a plain pipe needs to be joined to another pipe and an eared socket is required — for example on repairs where the original socket has been damaged or removed, or where a plain pipe is being connected in a position where an eared collar and wall fixing are needed simultaneously.
Supplied at 100mm (4″) diameter to suit standard LCC soil pipe. Also used when cutting an eared pipe to a shorter length removes the integral socket — the loose socket restores the joint without the need for a full replacement pipe. For specification support, call 0333 987 4452.
The Pultney Tapered Hopper Head is available in three pipe connection sizes: 65mm (2.5"), 75mm (3"), and 100mm (4"). Each size connects directly to matching cast iron downpipes via spigot and socket. Compatible downpipe codes are: 65mm — RH025, XRH025; 75mm — RH03, XRH03; 100mm — RH04, XRH04.
Available in two sizes: 225mm x 82mm (single airbrick course height) and 225mm x 150mm (double course height). Both sizes fit standard brick coursing positions and install flush into the wall face.
Yes. Cast iron airbricks are the appropriate material for listed buildings and conservation area properties where the original ventilation grilles were cast iron. They maintain the character and material authenticity required by most conservation officers and listed building consent conditions. Casting of iron is an imperfect processs. It is possible with some cast iron radiators that you will get minor imperfections in the surface finish. When radiators are painted this will reduce and over the years every additional coat of paint applied will provide a smoother more equal finish.

Our cast iron airbricks are supplied in primed finish, ready for on-site painting. This allows them to be finished to match the existing ironwork or masonry colour of the building. Standard black gloss is the most common finish for conservation and heritage projects.

Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
