The LCC Soil P-Trap is a cast iron trap fitting that connects a sanitary appliance — typically a WC pan — to the soil pipe stack whilst providing the water seal required to prevent foul gases from the drain entering the building. The P-trap configuration has a water-retaining dip that maintains the gas seal under normal drain flow conditions.
An essential fitting on any soil installation where the LCC cast iron system is specified. The P-trap is available in 100mm (4″) diameter to suit standard WC connections in the LCC soil pipe system. The Polished Brass finish suits buildings where brass metalwork was standard — formal Victorian terrace housing, civic and institutional buildings, and high-quality estate architecture. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation properties where the wider ironmongery specification is in brass and a matching material is required.

Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for use on all listed building classes. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
