Tuscan EN877 Soil is a socketless cast iron soil, waste and rainwater system made to BS EN 877. Plain-ended pipes and fittings are joined with stainless steel or ductile iron couplings, giving a slim, continuous line on a façade or in a service riser. Cast iron is non-combustible, quiet in use and very long-lived. That is why it remains the specification of choice for heritage buildings, tall stacks, and anywhere acoustic performance or fire safety matters.
A 45° single branch with the inlet the same size as the main run.
Available in 7 sizes, from 50mm × 50mm to 300mm × 300mm. Nominal weights run from 1.3 kg (50mm × 50mm) to 49.6 kg (300mm × 300mm).
Typical use: Junctions where the branch is the same diameter as the stack or drain.

A 45° branch joins at a swept angle so the incoming flow travels with the main flow. It is the usual choice for junctions in horizontal drains and for steeply falling connections.
It can be, but a radius curve branch is generally preferred for WCs because its curved inlet turns the flow down the stack.
