Tuscan EN877 Soil is a socketless cast iron soil, waste and rainwater system made to BS EN 877. Plain-ended pipes and fittings are joined with stainless steel or ductile iron couplings, giving a slim, continuous line on a façade or in a service riser. Cast iron is non-combustible, quiet in use and very long-lived. That is why it remains the specification of choice for heritage buildings, tall stacks, and anywhere acoustic performance or fire safety matters.
A compact 45° short radius bend for changing direction in a tight space.
Available in 7 sizes, from 50mm to 300mm. Nominal weights run from 0.6 kg (50mm) to 17 kg (300mm).
Typical use: Changes of direction in above-ground soil, waste, vent and rainwater systems, set-offs and connections close to walls.

A long radius bend is usually preferred there because it reduces back pressure and the risk of blockage. Short radius bends suit set-offs, branches and waste or vent runs.
Yes. Two matching bends with a short length of pipe between them step a run sideways. For common projections a ready-made offset fitting saves the extra joints.

Yes. Cast iron hopper heads are the historically correct choice for listed and period buildings, and a like-for-like cast iron replacement is generally accepted without objection by conservation officers. We manufacture to BS 460 for genuine heritage character and durability.

Yes. Cast iron airbricks are the appropriate material for listed buildings and conservation area properties where the original ventilation grilles were cast iron. Traditional Express (TX) is a cast iron push-fit soil system. Socketless pipes are joined with push-fit sockets and couplings using rubber seals, so there is no caulking on site. LCC uses caulked socket-and-spigot joints and a bitumen coating. TX is quicker to install and can be painted; LCC is the closer match to an original Victorian stack.
