Made from quality cast iron our forged radiator delivers heat through out the house. The cast iron radiator combines classic authentic styling with modern reliability and comfort.
The Victorian 4 Column cast iron radiator at 485mm height (V4-48) is a low-to-mid height radiator particularly suited to under-window installation, skirting-level positions, and rooms where the wall space above the radiator is occupied by windows, shelving, or other features. The four-column profile replicates the original Victorian pattern — proportionate and period-appropriate even in a compact section count.
This variant is supplied painted — pre-finished in a colour coat, ready to install. The painted finish is ideal where the installation is going directly to completion without further decoration.
Supply and assembly: Supplied in individual sections. Available pre-assembled up to 20 sections ready for installation. Supplied as a floor-standing version with integrated feet as standard — the wall-mounted only version must be requested at time of order. The radiator is supplied with ½” connections. Valves are not included and must be purchased separately if required.
Feet positions: Up to 20 sections — 2 feet, one at each end. Odd numbers 21–39 sections — 3 feet, one at each end and one centrally. Even numbers 22–40 sections — 4 feet, one at each end and 2 evenly spaced. Wall bracket requirements increase proportionally for larger radiators.

Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
The Antique Black cast iron version is suitable for external use. The Polished Lacquered version is best suited to interiors or sheltered external locations where the polished finish will be protected from weathering. The Polished Brass version is suited to interior and semi-exposed locations. For external applications on exposed elevations, the Antique Black finish is the recommended specification.
The opener is designed for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights. The telescopic shaft and adjustable mounting bracket allow it to be fitted to a range of rooflight frames. If you have a specific rooflight model, call us on 0333 987 4452 to confirm compatibility.
Available in two sizes: 225mm x 82mm (single airbrick course height) and 225mm x 150mm (double course height). Both sizes fit standard brick coursing positions and install flush into the wall face.
The Brass Rooflight Opener Handle 1520mm is a pole-operated handle designed for manual rooflight opening mechanisms. It is suitable for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights, and is particularly appropriate for period and heritage properties where a brass finish is specified.
The right size depends on the width of your gutter run and the volume of water you need to collect. The Strayton H42A is available in four widths: 305mm (12"), 355mm (14"), 457mm (18"), and 610mm (24"). As a general guide, wider hoppers suit larger roof areas and heavier rainfall zones. The H1 is available to accept round pipe connections in 65mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm diameters. The 65mm and 75mm variants measure 305mm wide by 197mm deep and 210mm high. The 100mm variant measures 355mm wide by 230mm deep and 240mm high. A 150mm connection option is also available — please contact the team for dimensions.
The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vent suits Victorian and Edwardian buildings where decorative cast iron or brass ventilation grilles were part of the original specification — including terrace houses, civic buildings, churches, entrance halls, and estate properties. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation area properties as a like-for-like decorative vent replacement, and on new heritage-quality construction where period detailing is required.
