H25 – Socket and spigot large box cast iron guttering.
This large box cast iron rainwater system is suitable for larger
buildings and industrial and railway heritage projects, and is available in
the following sizes:
100 x 100mm
125 x 100mm
150 x 175mm
150 x 100mm
The TFH25 is a large sand cast box gutter in socket and spigot form — a right-angled, square-sectioned profile that provides maximum drainage capacity in a compact, architecturally unobtrusive form. Box gutters are typically specified where the design or condition of the parapet, valley, or eaves detail requires a concealed or near-flush gutter rather than an exposed decorative profile.
Available in four sizes: 100×100mm, 125×100mm, 150×100mm, and 150×175mm. The socket and spigot joint provides a clean, secure connection between sections. Suited to large Victorian and Edwardian buildings, civic architecture, churches, and industrial heritage projects where a high-capacity concealed gutter system is required.
Sand cast iron, manufactured to BS 460:2002. Supplied in grey primer or black painted finish. Lead times are typically 8–10 weeks. Contact Tuscan Foundry Products to discuss sizing, fittings, and project requirements.
Suitable for: Parapet and valley gutter applications, large civic buildings, churches, industrial heritage. Call for price: 0333 987 4452.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available with 65mm, 75mm and 100mm round outlets, 75mm, 100mm and 125mm square outlets, and 100x75mm, 125x100mm and 150x125mm rectangular outlets, to match the downpipe already on site or specified for the project.
Our brackets are more commonly used on cast iron rainwater systems. Unlike plastic, cast iron is heavy and the weight keeps the gutter in position. As such our brackets do not normally have retaining clips which could lead to plastic or lightweight gutters blowing out of the bracket. The profile of your gutter should match that of our bracket but without the weight to keep it in place you may well encounter problems in bad weather.
This opener is particularly well suited to period and heritage properties — Georgian and Victorian terraces, conservation area houses, traditional orangeries, and listed buildings where a brass finish is required to complement existing ironmongery. It is compatible with Lumen Rooflights and most timber-framed skylights.
The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
The H525 measures 270mm wide x 208mm deep x 285mm high, making it well suited to smaller period properties, extensions and outbuildings.
The H526 measures 440mm wide x 240mm deep x 460mm high, making it well suited to Victorian and Edwardian townhouses.
The Brass Rooflight Opener Handle 1520mm is a pole-operated handle designed for manual rooflight opening mechanisms. It is suitable for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights, and is particularly appropriate for period and heritage properties where a brass finish is specified.
Size selection depends on the distance between the mounting point and the rooflight frame, and the desired throw (opening distance). Our telescopic openers are available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm; the screw-jack stay is available in 300mm with a 250mm throw. For guidance on sizing for your specific rooflight, please call 0333 987 4452 or use the contact form.
The satin chrome telescopic rooflight hand winder opener is available to order at tuscanfoundry.com. For project or volume enquiries, call 0333 987 4452 or use the contact form on our website.
The H528 measures 760mm wide x 370mm deep x 565mm high, making it well suited to the largest properties in the range — substantial country houses, civic buildings and ecclesiastical projects.
