The Square Pipe Anti-Splash Shoe Eared is a termination fitting for cast iron square downpipes designed to prevent water splashing back from a hard surface at the base of the pipe run. The extended and angled shoe outlet disperses the flow at a lower velocity and wider angle than a standard shoe, reducing the splash back that can cause staining to the wall base and surrounding surface. The eared version incorporates integral ears for direct wall fixing.
Specified on period and listed buildings where the pipe discharges onto a paved or hard surface and splash management is a maintenance or conservation requirement. Available in three sizes: 75×75mm (3″×3″), 100×100mm (4″×4″), and 125×125mm (5″×5″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish. Manufactured in cast iron to BS 460:2002. Yes — we strongly recommend painting all products before installation to ensure full coverage on every surface, which reduces long-term maintenance. Standard Premier Rainwater products are supplied in a grey metal primer with rust inhibitors and need two undercoats and one top coat (or one undercoat and two top coats) of a good quality exterior paint.
The Cast Iron Louvre Airbrick suits Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, semi-detached properties, public houses, agricultural buildings, and workshop structures where the original airbrick was a louvre-face grille. The horizontal fin profile is widely found in British domestic and light industrial construction from the 1870s through to the 1950s.
The H543 measures 504mm wide x 185mm deep x 200mm high, making it well suited to wide, shallow proportions that suit box-gutter outlets on period roofs, terraces and commercial premises.

Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
