The Bransby No.126 is the most classical casting in this group: a wide, low head carrying two cast swags — festoons of drapery and foliage — across its front face.
The swag is one of the defining ornaments of Georgian and Regency architecture, found in plasterwork, on chimneypieces, in joinery and on ironwork. Here the pair sit within the flat field of the hopper, framed by moulded top and bottom edges, each hung between suspension points exactly as a carved festoon would be. Picked out in white against black, they read clearly from the ground and immediately place the casting in period.
This is a pattern for elevations with classical detailing already present — a country house, a good Georgian townhouse, an orangery or garden building, an assembly room or a civic building of the period. On a vernacular cottage or an industrial building it would look imported from somewhere grander.

The H526 measures 440mm wide x 240mm deep x 460mm high, making it well suited to Victorian and Edwardian townhouses.
Cast iron radiators cost no more to run than modern steel or aluminium radiators. Cast iron is a very efficient material at emitting heat, thus you have items like le creuset cast iron pans. Cast iron holds it’s heat extremly well, which means that the radiators stay warm for longer.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available with 65mm, 75mm and 100mm round outlets, 75mm, 100mm and 125mm square outlets, and 100x75mm, 125x100mm and 150x125mm rectangular outlets, to match the downpipe already on site or specified for the project.
The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vent suits Victorian and Edwardian buildings where decorative cast iron or brass ventilation grilles were part of the original specification — including terrace houses, civic buildings, churches, entrance halls, and estate properties. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation area properties as a like-for-like decorative vent replacement, and on new heritage-quality construction where period detailing is required.
