The Nouveau is a cast iron column radiator with a decorative scrolled relief and Victoriana-inspired surface pattern. The relief detail makes the Nouveau a room feature as well as a heat source — it suits Victorian, Edwardian, and Arts and Crafts interiors where the original specification would have included cast iron column radiators with ornate surface detail.
The 750mm height is a versatile mid-range option — large enough to make an impression and deliver meaningful heat output, but proportionate in rooms where the 950mm would be too tall. Supplied in gunmetal primer finish, ready for painting in any specified colour. Maximum deliverable length is 10 sections; larger radiators can be built on site by joining.
Cast iron’s high thermal mass stores heat and radiates it slowly and evenly — providing a comfortable room temperature that sustains itself longer than lightweight steel panel radiators when the boiler cycles off.

A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the reverse of the grille that can be moved to open or close the ventilation apertures. This allows airflow to be regulated without removing or replacing the grille. The vent can be fully open, partially open, or fully closed depending on ventilation requirements.
Yes. Our telescopic screw-jack openers and pole-operated handles are compatible with Lumen Rooflight systems. They are also suitable for use with other timber-framed rooflights and skylights fitted with appropriate catches or stays. The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
We do offer a range of Ogee patterned gutters in both straight and radius profiles. The straight profiles are much more common and as such cost less.
Our hopper heads are available with a wide range of pipe connections to suit round, square, and rectangular downpipes. The Calnethorpe No.11 accepts round 65mm, 75mm, and 100mm; square 75×75mm, 100×100mm, and 125×125mm; and rectangular 100×75mm, 125×100mm, and 150×100mm. Connection options vary by model — please contact us to confirm availability for your chosen hopper.
Our brackets are more commonly used on cast iron rainwater systems. Unlike plastic, cast iron is heavy and the weight keeps the gutter in position. As such our brackets do not normally have retaining clips which could lead to plastic or lightweight gutters blowing out of the bracket. The profile of your gutter should match that of our bracket but without the weight to keep it in place you may well encounter problems in bad weather.
Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
Satin chrome has a brushed, low-sheen finish suited to contemporary interiors, while polished chrome has a bright mirror finish. Both are available in the telescopic hand winder range at Tuscan Foundry. The choice typically depends on the existing ironmongery specification.
