The Traditional LCC cast iron soil pipe system is the heritage-accurate specification for above-ground soil and waste pipes on period and listed buildings. LCC — cast iron socket-and-spigot soil pipe — is the original construction method for external soil pipes on Victorian, Edwardian, and later period buildings, and remains the correct like-for-like replacement where conservation officers or listed building consent require cast iron to be retained. The system carries soil and waste from WCs, baths, basins, and other sanitary fittings down the external face of the building to the underground drain.
The LCC Soil Pipe Plain 1829mm is the full-length plain-ended cast iron soil pipe section, without integral ears. The plain pipe is fixed using separate holderbats or build-in brackets secured to the wall independently of the pipe joint, allowing fixing positions to be chosen freely along the run. The plain end also facilitates cutting to length without losing a fixing point.

A corner hopper head collects rainwater from two gutters running at right angles and channels it into a single downpipe. They are typically required at internal roof valleys, on hipped roofs, and wherever two runs of gutter converge at a corner. The Regent H1A is designed specifically for this application and is sized to suit the most common gutter profiles.
A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the reverse of the grille that can be moved to open or close the ventilation apertures. This allows airflow to be regulated without removing or replacing the grille. The vent can be fully open, partially open, or fully closed depending on ventilation requirements.
Satin chrome has a brushed, low-sheen finish suited to contemporary interiors, while polished chrome has a bright mirror finish. Both are available in the telescopic hand winder range at Tuscan Foundry. The choice typically depends on the existing ironmongery specification.
All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
Yes. The Louvre Airbrick is dimensioned to standard brick course openings and is suitable for direct replacement of worn, broken, or missing original cast iron louvre grilles. If you are unsure of the size required, measure the opening in the brickwork rather than the existing damaged grille.
Our hopper heads are available with a wide range of pipe connections to suit round, square, and rectangular downpipes. The Calnethorpe No.11 accepts round 65mm, 75mm, and 100mm; square 75×75mm, 100×100mm, and 125×125mm; and rectangular 100×75mm, 125×100mm, and 150×100mm. Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
