The Traditional Express 3m double spigot pipe is the full-length pipe in our push-fit cast iron soil system. Both ends are plain spigots that push into rubber-sealed push-fit sockets or couplings, so the stack goes up without caulking.
The long length keeps joints to a minimum on tall stacks. Cut it on site where a shorter piece is needed; every cut end is still a spigot, so nothing is wasted. For short runs, the 1.5m and 1.8m lengths are also available.
Traditional Express suits listed and period buildings where the soil stack is to be painted, including in our linseed oil finish, or where caulked joints are impractical.
Sizes: 50mm (2″) and 100mm (4″), 3m length.
Cast iron to BS 416, with rubber joint seals to BS EN 681-1.

The Cast Iron Louvre Airbrick suits Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, semi-detached properties, public houses, agricultural buildings, and workshop structures where the original airbrick was a louvre-face grille. The horizontal fin profile is widely found in British domestic and light industrial construction from the 1870s through to the 1950s.
The right size depends on the width of your gutter run and the volume of water you need to collect. The Strayton H42A is available in four widths: 305mm (12"), 355mm (14"), 457mm (18"), and 610mm (24"). As a general guide, wider hoppers suit larger roof areas and heavier rainfall zones. Yes, provided they are sized for the lower water temperature. Outputs are published at ΔT50; at ΔT30 a section gives about half that, so heat pump systems usually need more sections or a deeper pattern. We can prepare a radiator schedule at your heat pump design temperature.

All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
LCC soil pipe and fittings are available in 50mm, 65mm, 75mm, 90mm, 100mm and 150mm. Traditional Express is available in 50mm and 100mm. LCC pipe comes in 1829mm, 1219mm, 914mm and 610mm lengths, with eared and plain double socket lengths for cutting on site.
The Polished Brass finish suits buildings where brass metalwork was standard — formal Victorian terrace housing, civic and institutional buildings, and high-quality estate architecture. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation properties where the wider ironmongery specification is in brass and a matching material is required.
Yes. Cast iron hopper heads are the historically correct choice for listed and period buildings, and a like-for-like cast iron replacement is generally accepted without objection by conservation officers. We manufacture to BS 460 for genuine heritage character and durability.
