The push fit system provides substantial savings in labour for each joint and no specialist training is required for installation.
100mm diameter socketless pipes are available in 1.8m & 3m lengths and are supplied pre-painted in a black gloss finish. Compared to the traditional LCC soil system, our Traditional Express soil system is lighter and therefore slightly easier to handle and install. However, Traditional Express retains all the inherent qualities of cast iron including strength and longevity as well as the environmental benefits that cast iron offers over other modern materials.
Provided that your Traditional Express cast iron soil system is correctly installed and maintained you should receive a lifespan of more than 100 years. It is this long life that makes cast iron a long term, cost effective choice and it is 100% recyclable at the end of its life.
In addition to the other benefits offered by our Traditional Express soil system, it provides low noise levels due to the sound deadening properties of cast iron.

Yes. Both the satin and polished chrome telescopic rooflight hand winder openers are compatible with Lumen Rooflights and most timber-framed skylights. Call 0333 987 4452 if you need to confirm compatibility with a specific model.
The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
Yes. Cast iron ornamental vents in period patterns are frequently specified on listed buildings and conservation area properties as like-for-like replacements for original Victorian ironwork. Conservation officers generally accept cast iron in period patterns without objection. We can supply specifications to support planning and listed building consent applications.

A linseed oil paint finish is also available, providing a vapour-permeable, historically authentic coating that is particularly appropriate for listed buildings and conservation projects. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for use on all listed building classes. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.

All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
