The Tuscan Mechanical BS416 Soil range is a coupling-jointed cast iron soil and waste system, dimensionally compatible with BS 416 pipework. Plain-ended pipes and fittings are joined with bolted ductile iron couplings, so there are no caulked or sealed sockets. A stack goes together quickly, and individual fittings can be taken out later without disturbing the rest of the run. Conversion couplings join it to existing socketed LCC pipe, which makes it a practical choice for repairs and extensions to older stacks as well as new work.

Available in 4 sizes, from 50mm to 150mm. Nominal weights run from 0.6 kg (50mm) to 3.6 kg (150mm).

A long radius bend is usually preferred there because it reduces back pressure and the risk of blockage. Short radius bends suit set-offs, branches and waste or vent runs.
Yes. Two matching bends with a short length of pipe between them step a run sideways. For common projections a ready-made offset fitting saves the extra joints.

Yes. Cast iron hopper heads are the historically correct choice for listed and period buildings, and a like-for-like cast iron replacement is generally accepted without objection by conservation officers. We manufacture to BS 460 for genuine heritage character and durability.

In most cases, replacing like-for-like cast iron guttering on a listed building does not require Listed Building Consent (LBC), provided the replacement matches the existing profile, material, and finish exactly. However, any change of material away from cast iron will almost always require consent. The Brass Rooflight Pole Winder Opener 300mm is a screw-jack operated rooflight opener designed for manual control of timber-framed skylights and Lumen Rooflights. The 300mm fixed arm is suited to standard rooflight positions and is finished in polished brass.
The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.

The in-house Premier Extra coating is formulated for a life expectancy of around 10 years under normal weather conditions, provided any impact damage or surface scuffing is made good promptly.
