The Chrome Rooflight Hand Winder Opener – Telescopic is a screw-jack operated rooflight opener finished in polished chrome. Designed for timber-framed rooflights and skylights, the high-reflective finish gives it a crisp, bright appearance that suits both contemporary and traditional interiors. Available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm sizes to match different rooflight positions and throw requirements.
The unit features a threaded screw-jack barrel and a right-angle crank handle in polished chrome, with a telescopic shaft for installation flexibility. Operation is straightforward — the crank handle engages the screw-jack and holds the rooflight securely at the desired ventilation position. Throw: 157mm. Suitable for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights.

Yes. The ornamental foliate pattern was widely used in Victorian construction and is appropriate for Grade II listed buildings and conservation area properties. Its decorative character is often preferable to a plain pattern on prominent or formal elevations. The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.

BS 460:2002 is the British Standard governing cast iron rainwater goods — gutters, pipes, and fittings. It sets the dimensional tolerances, materials, and performance requirements a component must meet, so that joints seal, sections align, and the system performs as a whole rather than as isolated parts.
