The Chrome Rooflight Hand Winder Opener – Telescopic is a screw-jack operated rooflight opener finished in polished chrome. Designed for timber-framed rooflights and skylights, the high-reflective finish gives it a crisp, bright appearance that suits both contemporary and traditional interiors. Available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm sizes to match different rooflight positions and throw requirements.
The unit features a threaded screw-jack barrel and a right-angle crank handle in polished chrome, with a telescopic shaft for installation flexibility. Operation is straightforward — the crank handle engages the screw-jack and holds the rooflight securely at the desired ventilation position. Throw: 157mm. Suitable for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights.
Widely used in conservatories and orangeries, this opener is equally suited to kitchen extensions with over-sink rooflights, loft rooms, garden rooms, and period properties where polished chrome hardware is consistent with the existing fittings. It offers the same mechanical reliability as the satin and brass variants, with a finish that will appeal where a brighter, more polished appearance is preferred.

The Polished Brass finish suits buildings where brass metalwork was standard — formal Victorian terrace housing, civic and institutional buildings, and high-quality estate architecture. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation properties where the wider ironmongery specification is in brass and a matching material is required.
Available in two sizes: 225mm x 82mm (single airbrick course height) and 225mm x 150mm (double course height). Both sizes fit standard brick coursing positions and install flush into the wall face.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
The Pultney Tapered Hopper Head is available in three pipe connection sizes: 65mm (2.5"), 75mm (3"), and 100mm (4"). Each size connects directly to matching cast iron downpipes via spigot and socket. Compatible downpipe codes are: 65mm — RH025, XRH025; 75mm — RH03, XRH03; 100mm — RH04, XRH04.
Yes. All our mild steel brackets are supplied in either silver or black zinc plate. This coating protects the metal however, both will need painting prior to installation.
We have chosen to use zinc plating for two reasons; firstly that it is a more environmentally friendly than galvanising and secondly that it does not block up the threaded part of the rise and fall cups in the way that galvanising does.

All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.

Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
The Cast Iron Louvre Airbrick (F020802AFC) is available in 225mm × 75mm, 225mm × 150mm, and 225mm × 225mm — standard brick course heights. All sizes share a consistent depth for straightforward like-for-like replacement of original cast iron louvre airbricks.
