The Square Pipe Eared is the main running length of a cast iron square downpipe system. Each pipe has a moulded socket at the head with a pair of integral fixing ears cast on, so the pipe is fixed back to the wall at every joint with pipe nails or screws and spacer bobbins, exactly as square rainwater pipes were fixed on Georgian and Regency elevations.
The square section gives a crisp, architectural line on the facade, with the projecting socket band marking each joint at regular intervals up the wall. Lengths of 1829mm (6ft), 1219mm (4ft), 914mm (3ft) and 610mm (2ft) let you set out a run with the minimum of cutting, and every length spigots into the socket of the fitting below.
Square downpipes are typical of late Georgian and Regency townhouses, crescents and terraces, and of formal Victorian civic and commercial buildings where the rainwater goods were treated as part of the architectural design. They are equally at home on new heritage-style buildings that need an authentic cast iron detail.
All fittings in our square range are cast iron to BS 460:2002, made to the same moulded profile so pipes and fittings line up neatly on the elevation. Every fitting is supplied either in primer, ready for painting on site, or in factory black. For listed buildings and conservation areas we also offer hand-applied linseed oil paint in heritage colours, which stays breathable and flexible and is straightforward to maintain. Stocked items are usually dispatched within 5 to 7 working days; allow around 6 to 7 weeks where a linseed oil finish is specified.

The Ornamental Airbrick (OAB) is available in three sizes: 225mm × 75mm (2.8kg), 225mm × 150mm (4.1kg), and 225mm × 225mm (5.8kg). All sizes have a uniform depth of 75mm, making them consistent to install across a subfloor ventilation course.
