Cast iron build-in holderbat with bolted collar and masonry tail for 75mm x 75mm and 100mm x 100mm square downpipes, primer or black painted.
UK delivery from £30. Fittings are despatched boxed. See delivery rates.
The Square Pipe Build In Holderbat is a traditional cast iron pipe bracket with a tail that is built into a mortar joint, giving a strong, permanent fixing for square downpipes without visible screws.
The square collar is cast in two parts and closed around the pipe with two bolts, so it can be fitted after the pipe is in place. The stepped tail is bedded into the masonry, ideally in lime mortar on historic walls.
Build-in holderbats are the correct fixing on many Georgian and Victorian buildings, and the right choice on new or rebuilt masonry, plain pipe runs and stone walls where screwed fixings are inappropriate.
All fittings in our square range are cast iron to BS 460:2002, made to the same moulded profile so pipes and fittings line up neatly on the elevation. Every fitting is supplied either in primer, ready for painting on site, or in factory black. For listed buildings and conservation areas we also offer hand-applied linseed oil paint in heritage colours, which stays breathable and flexible and is straightforward to maintain. Stocked items are usually dispatched within 5 to 7 working days; allow around 6 to 7 weeks where a linseed oil finish is specified.
Square pipe sizes: 75mm x 75mm (3″ x 3″) and 100mm x 100mm (4″ x 4″).
Suitable for listed buildings, conservation areas and heritage restoration. For specification support or a project quotation, call 0333 987 4452.

Casting of iron is an imperfect processs. It is possible with some cast iron radiators that you will get minor imperfections in the surface finish. When radiators are painted this will reduce and over the years every additional coat of paint applied will provide a smoother more equal finish.
