The Rectangular Pipe Shoe Side Eared is a side-discharge termination fitting for a cast iron rectangular downpipe run, directing water flow sideways from the base of the pipe towards a gully or drain positioned to the side of the pipe run. The eared version incorporates integral ears for direct wall fixing. Used where the drain or gully is positioned laterally rather than directly in front of the building face.
Specified on listed buildings and heritage conservation projects where the drainage layout requires a side discharge at the base of the rectangular downpipe run. The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vent suits Victorian and Edwardian buildings where decorative cast iron or brass ventilation grilles were part of the original specification — including terrace houses, civic buildings, churches, entrance halls, and estate properties. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation area properties as a like-for-like decorative vent replacement, and on new heritage-quality construction where period detailing is required.
Available in two sizes: 225mm x 82mm (single airbrick course height) and 225mm x 150mm (double course height). Both sizes fit standard brick coursing positions and install flush into the wall face.
