The Rectangular Pipe Offset Front steps a cast iron rectangular downpipe in or out from the wall, through the broad face of the pipe, where the wall face changes plane. It keeps the pipe vertical above and below the step.
Offsets are made as a single casting with two 112.5° bends and a straight between them, giving projections from 56mm to 610mm. The head carries the moulded socket band, available eared with integral fixing ears, or un-eared for runs fixed with holderbats or earbands.
Front offsets take rectangular downpipes around plinths, string courses, cornices and window sills. Where the pipe needs to step sideways along the wall rather than outwards, use the Rectangular Pipe Offset Side.
All fittings in our rectangular range are cast iron to BS 460:2002, made to the same moulded profile so pipes and fittings line up neatly on the elevation. Every fitting is supplied either in primer, ready for painting on site, or in factory black. For listed buildings and conservation areas we also offer hand-applied linseed oil paint in heritage colours, which stays breathable and flexible and is straightforward to maintain. Stocked items are usually dispatched within 5 to 7 working days; allow around 6 to 7 weeks where a linseed oil finish is specified.
Rectangular pipe sizes: 100mm x 75mm (4″ x 3″), 125mm x 70mm, 125mm x 100mm (5″ x 4″) and 150mm x 100mm (6″ x 4″).

The H529 measures 430mm wide x 290mm deep x 540mm high, making it well suited to multi-storey Georgian and Victorian townhouses with a longer fall to the outlet.
Victorian properties most commonly used Ogee (OG) gutter profiles, including the standard Cast Iron Ogee and the G46 Moulded Ogee. Half Round guttering was also widely used, particularly in the later Victorian period. The correct profile depends on what is already present on the building — we recommend inspecting any surviving sections and matching the profile, size, and socket direction exactly. We supply 19 standard gutter profiles and can copy-cast any non-standard profile from a drawing, photograph, or physical sample.

The in-house Premier Extra coating is formulated for a life expectancy of around 10 years under normal weather conditions, provided any impact damage or surface scuffing is made good promptly. Coastal locations or higher pollution levels can shorten this, so it's worth asking your local stockist or paint manufacturer for site-specific advice.
The H460 is well suited to Georgian, Regency, and Victorian buildings where a plain, undecorated rectangular hopper is the appropriate choice — particularly listed properties, conservation area buildings, and institutional or commercial buildings in historic town centres. Its clean, restrained form makes it equally appropriate on modern heritage-style construction where period accuracy is required without ornamental detail.
