The Rectangular Pipe Ornamental Earband Pattern K is a decorative cast iron collar for rectangular downpipes, with scrolled heart-shaped fixing ears with a beaded finial. It fixes plain, un-eared pipe to the wall and adds a period detail at each joint.
It is specified on conservation and listed building projects where Pattern K matches the surviving ornamental earbands on the original installation, so the restored elevation keeps the correct decorative detail. Ornamental earbands were a standard feature on formal Victorian and Edwardian facades, including civic buildings, churches, banks and institutional architecture.
The same nine patterns, A to K, are made for round, square and rectangular pipe, so a building with mixed pipe shapes can carry one consistent pattern.
All fittings in our rectangular range are cast iron to BS 460:2002, made to the same moulded profile so pipes and fittings line up neatly on the elevation. Every fitting is supplied either in primer, ready for painting on site, or in factory black. For listed buildings and conservation areas we also offer hand-applied linseed oil paint in heritage colours, which stays breathable and flexible and is straightforward to maintain. Stocked items are usually dispatched within 5 to 7 working days; allow around 6 to 7 weeks where a linseed oil finish is specified.

Yes. All our mild steel brackets are supplied in either silver or black zinc plate. This coating protects the metal however, both will need painting prior to installation.
We have chosen to use zinc plating for two reasons; firstly that it is a more environmentally friendly than galvanising and secondly that it does not block up the threaded part of the rise and fall cups in the way that galvanising does.
A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the reverse of the grille that can be moved to open or close the ventilation apertures. This allows airflow to be regulated without removing or replacing the grille. The vent can be fully open, partially open, or fully closed depending on ventilation requirements.

The Cast Iron Louvre Airbrick (F020802AFC) is available in 225mm × 75mm, 225mm × 150mm, and 225mm × 225mm — standard brick course heights. All sizes share a consistent depth for straightforward like-for-like replacement of original cast iron louvre airbricks.
Traditional Express can be painted, including in our linseed oil finish. LCC is supplied with a black bitumen coating, which cannot be reliably overpainted with conventional paints; maintain it with a compatible bituminous paint. Where a painted soil stack is required, specify Traditional Express.
All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
A pole winder opener has a fixed-length arm, making it suited to standard rooflight positions with a consistent throw.
