The Temple No.523 is the wide, low companion to the Manston: a long rectangular casting with a broad flat face designed to take cast lettering, flanked by moulded end panels and mounted on an integral back plate.
The proportions are what make it different. Where the Manston concentrates its lettering in an upright cartouche, the Temple spreads it across a horizontal field — better suited to a longer inscription, a full date, or paired initials with a device between them. The integral back plate means the head sits flat and true against the wall without separate brackets, which matters on rubble or uneven masonry where a bracketed head would need packing.
Lettering is cast, not applied, so it will not lift or weather off. Picked out in gold or a contrasting colour against a black or heritage ground, it becomes a deliberate feature of the elevation rather than a detail only visible close to.
It suits estate buildings, almshouses, schools, churches and institutional work, and any restoration where a phase of work deserves to be recorded permanently.
Cast in solid iron to BS 460:2002, supplied in primer or black as standard, with heritage colours and traditional linseed oil finishes available on request.

Premier Extra is our ready-to-fix factory finish — an attractive black semi-gloss coating that needs no painting on site, available across all seven standard gutter profiles and round rainwater pipes. It's also available to special order in a wider range of RAL and BS colours.
The opener is designed for use with Lumen Rooflights and compatible timber-framed skylights. The telescopic shaft and adjustable mounting bracket allow it to be fitted to a range of rooflight frames. If you have a specific rooflight model, call us on 0333 987 4452 to confirm compatibility.
The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vent suits Victorian and Edwardian buildings where decorative cast iron or brass ventilation grilles were part of the original specification — including terrace houses, civic buildings, churches, entrance halls, and estate properties. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation area properties as a like-for-like decorative vent replacement, and on new heritage-quality construction where period detailing is required.
All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.

Polished chrome has a bright mirror finish, while satin chrome has a brushed, low-sheen appearance. Both are available in the telescopic hand winder range. The finish choice typically depends on the ironmongery specification for the project.
Hopper heads are supplied in red oxide primer ready for on-site painting, or pre-finished in black. A full range of Heritage Colours in traditional linseed oil paint is also available on request — please contact us for the swatch chart.
The Pultney Tapered Hopper Head is available in three pipe connection sizes: 65mm (2.5"), 75mm (3"), and 100mm (4"). Each size connects directly to matching cast iron downpipes via spigot and socket. Compatible downpipe codes are: 65mm — RH025, XRH025; 75mm — RH03, XRH03; 100mm — RH04, XRH04.
The Polished Brass finish suits buildings where brass metalwork was standard — formal Victorian terrace housing, civic and institutional buildings, and high-quality estate architecture. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation properties where the wider ironmongery specification is in brass and a matching material is required.
