The Calnethorpe is one of the most architecturally substantial hopper heads in the Tuscan Foundry range — a large-format cast iron rainwater hopper designed for Georgian, Regency, and formal classical elevations where scale, proportion, and material authenticity are non-negotiable.
At 445mm wide, 180mm deep, and 370mm high, the Calnethorpe commands a building elevation with the quiet confidence of a piece that was designed to be seen. Its form is intentionally restrained: a deep projecting open-top cornice with a rolled rim draws the eye, flat panel sides carry the weight of the body without ornament, and a stepped, corbel-shouldered base steps cleanly inward to the outlet below. Wall-mounting lugs are cast integrally to each side. There is nothing superfluous here — just proportion, mass, and the unmistakable texture of hand-finished cast iron.
The Calnethorpe suits principal elevations on large Georgian townhouses, country houses, manor houses, and formal civic or institutional buildings.
