The Tuscan Mechanical BS416 Soil range is a coupling-jointed cast iron soil and waste system, dimensionally compatible with BS 416 pipework. Plain-ended pipes and fittings are joined with bolted ductile iron couplings, so there are no caulked or sealed sockets. A stack goes together quickly, and individual fittings can be taken out later without disturbing the rest of the run. Conversion couplings join it to existing socketed LCC pipe, which makes it a practical choice for repairs and extensions to older stacks as well as new work.
A ductile iron coupling with an EPDM sealing gasket that clamps over two plain pipe ends, or a pipe and a fitting. Two bolts draw the halves together, so the joint can be released later for alterations or access.
Available in 4 sizes, from 50mm to 150mm. Nominal weights run from 0.7 kg (50mm) to 2 kg (150mm).
Typical use: The standard joint between pipes and fittings throughout a run.

Yes. Release the bolts, slide the coupling clear and the joint can be remade. Check the gasket is undamaged and replace it if it has hardened or split.
Tighten the bolts evenly, alternating side to side, until the coupling halves meet or reach the torque in the installation guidance. Over-tightening one side first can pull the joint out of line.

The Gothic foliate tracery design of the Ornamental Airbrick provides a good free-flow ventilation area relative to its face size. The open area is comparable to other standard cast iron airbrick patterns. Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building grades. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
The H526 measures 440mm wide x 240mm deep x 460mm high, making it well suited to Victorian and Edwardian townhouses.
The Paxton H82 accepts round, square, and rectangular pipe connections. Round: 65mm, 75mm, and 100mm. Square: 75×75mm, 100×100mm, and 125×125mm. Rectangular: 100×75mm, 125×100mm, and 150×100mm.
