A genuine half round beaded cast iron nozzle – running outlet – with double beading.
The cast iron beaded half round drop end provides a downpipe outlet at the end of a beaded gutter run, used where the run terminates and drainage needs to drop directly to a downpipe from the end of the gutter section rather than from a central nozzle outlet. The drop end carries the characteristic double bead of the beaded profile — the standard for Scotland, northern England, and the Victorian and Edwardian building stock of both regions.
Manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460:2002 and available in the four standard sizes: 100mm (4″), 115mm (4.5″), 125mm (5″), and 150mm (6″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish.
Specified on listed buildings, conservation area properties, and heritage restoration projects across Scotland and northern England where the beaded half round is the historically correct profile. Accepted by Historic Environment Scotland and conservation officers as the appropriate fitting for period rainwater work.
Compatibility: Beaded half round cast iron gutter 100mm, 115mm, 125mm, 150mm. For project specification, call 0333 987 4452.

The Regent H1 is well suited to Victorian and Edwardian terraces, listed commercial buildings, civic and institutional properties, and ecclesiastical buildings where a traditional funnel-form hopper is architecturally appropriate. Its multi-faceted tapering body reads as period-accurate on Gothic and classical building types alike, and it is a commonly specified choice for conservation and listed building projects across the UK.
Our hopper heads are available with a wide range of pipe connections to suit round, square, and rectangular downpipes. The Calnethorpe No.11 accepts round 65mm, 75mm, and 100mm; square 75×75mm, 100×100mm, and 125×125mm; and rectangular 100×75mm, 125×100mm, and 150×100mm. Connection options vary by model — please contact us to confirm availability for your chosen hopper.
Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building classes. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
The Polished Brass finish suits buildings where brass metalwork was standard — formal Victorian terrace housing, civic and institutional buildings, and high-quality estate architecture. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation properties where the wider ironmongery specification is in brass and a matching material is required.
All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
We do offer a range of Ogee patterned gutters in both straight and radius profiles. The straight profiles are much more common and as such cost less.
For rooflights directly above a worktop or sink, a telescopic screw-jack hand winder is the most practical choice. Available in polished brass, satin chrome, and polished chrome, these openers allow controlled ventilation from a fixed handle position without requiring a pole. The 150mm or 250mm size is typically appropriate for standard-height kitchen rooflights.
Our brackets are more commonly used on cast iron rainwater systems. Unlike plastic, cast iron is heavy and the weight keeps the gutter in position. As such our brackets do not normally have retaining clips which could lead to plastic or lightweight gutters blowing out of the bracket. The profile of your gutter should match that of our bracket but without the weight to keep it in place you may well encounter problems in bad weather.
The Iron Works Patterned Hit & Miss Vents are available in two sizes: 225mm × 82mm (single-course, suitable for standard airbrick positions) and 225mm × 150mm (double-course format). Both sizes are available in all three finishes: Antique Black, Polished Lacquered, and Polished Brass.
