The RB500BH is a top rafter rise and fall bracket for beaded half round cast iron guttering. Where open eaves construction or the absence of a fascia board requires fixing to the top surface of a rafter, the RB500BH provides a secure, adjustable support that allows precise fall setting across the gutter run. The bracket cup is designed for the beaded half round profile — the standard for Scotland and northern England — ensuring correct fit without modification.
Available in four sizes to suit all standard beaded half round gutter profiles: 100mm (4″), 115mm (4.5″), 125mm (5″), and 150mm (6″). Zinc-plated steel finish for outdoor corrosion resistance. The threaded rise and fall mechanism eliminates shimming and allows accurate gradient control on long runs or complex roof lines.
Commonly specified on Scottish and northern English heritage restoration projects where open eaves are a feature of the original design, and on older buildings where top-rafter fixing is structurally preferable. The RB500BH is the beaded half round equivalent of the RB500 bracket range.
Compatibility: Beaded half round cast iron gutter 100mm, 115mm, 125mm, 150mm. For project specification, call 0333 987 4452.

Tuscan Foundry's cast iron hopper heads are available in Standard Black and Heritage Colour finishes. A linseed oil paint finish is also offered — a sustainable, vapour-permeable option particularly appropriate for listed buildings and conservation projects. Heritage colour swatches are available from the team on request.
The Polished Lacquered finish suits buildings where period ironwork was finished bright rather than painted — formal entrance elevations, listed properties, and settings where the grille contributes to the decorative programme of the facade. It is appropriate for conservation specifications and high-specification heritage new build.

We do offer a range of Ogee patterned gutters in both straight and radius profiles. The straight profiles are much more common and as such cost less.
The Polished Brass finish suits buildings where brass metalwork was standard — formal Victorian terrace housing, civic and institutional buildings, and high-quality estate architecture. It is appropriate on listed buildings and conservation properties where the wider ironmongery specification is in brass and a matching material is required.
Rooflight opener handles are available in polished brass, polished chrome, and satin chrome finishes. The polished brass version is the most popular choice for heritage and period interiors. For the full range, visit tuscanfoundry.com or call 0333 987 4452.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
Yes. The ornamental foliate pattern was widely used in Victorian construction and is appropriate for Grade II listed buildings and conservation area properties. Its decorative character is often preferable to a plain pattern on prominent or formal elevations. We recommend confirming the pattern with your conservation officer as part of any listed building consent application.
