Tuscan EN877 Drain is a socketless cast iron drainage system made to BS EN 877, for below-ground drainage and suspended drainage runs in basements, undercrofts and plant areas. Plain-ended pipes and fittings are joined with bolted couplings. The result is a rigid, non-combustible system that resists crushing and root ingress, and copes with the loads found under buildings and hard landscaping.
A straight access pipe with a bolted rectangular door. The large opening gives good room for rodding and inspection.
Available in 5 sizes, from 100mm to 300mm. Nominal weights run from 7.2 kg (100mm) to 55.8 kg (300mm).
Typical use: Access points on stacks and drains, particularly larger diameters and long runs.

At the foot of each stack, at changes of direction that cannot otherwise be rodded, and at intervals along long runs. Fit them where the door can still be reached after boxing in.
The rectangular door gives a larger opening, which helps on bigger pipes and where tools need room. The round door is more compact.

The Gothic foliate tracery design of the Ornamental Airbrick provides a good free-flow ventilation area relative to its face size. The open area is comparable to other standard cast iron airbrick patterns. The visual density of the pattern at a distance reads as solid ironwork, which suits formal and decorative elevations without compromising subfloor ventilation effectiveness.

Eared LCC pipe is fixed through ears cast on the socket. Plain LCC pipe is fixed with holdfasts driven into the mortar joint, screw-to-wall holderbats, build-in holderbats or loose ears. Fix every length below the socket so each joint is supported. Traditional Express uses adjustable brackets.

Traditional Express (TX) is a cast iron push-fit soil system. Socketless pipes are joined with push-fit sockets and couplings using rubber seals, so there is no caulking on site. LCC uses caulked socket-and-spigot joints and a bitumen coating. TX is quicker to install and can be painted; LCC is the closer match to an original Victorian stack.
