The Ornamental Airbrick (OAB) is available in three sizes: 225mm × 75mm (2.8kg), 225mm × 150mm (4.1kg), and 225mm × 225mm (5.8kg). All sizes have a uniform depth of 75mm, making them consistent to install across a subfloor ventilation course.

The Ornamental Airbrick is most appropriate on Victorian Gothic buildings — churches, chapels, vicarages, almshouses, collegiate buildings, and high-specification estate architecture — where decorative ironwork was part of the original design. It suits listed building replacements in kind and heritage new build where period accuracy in detailing is expected.

Our brackets are more commonly used on cast iron rainwater systems. Unlike plastic, cast iron is heavy and the weight keeps the gutter in position. As such our brackets do not normally have retaining clips which could lead to plastic or lightweight gutters blowing out of the bracket. The profile of your gutter should match that of our bracket but without the weight to keep it in place you may well encounter problems in bad weather.

Size selection depends on the distance between the mounting point and the rooflight frame, and the desired throw (opening distance). Our telescopic openers are available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm; the screw-jack stay is available in 300mm with a 250mm throw. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request.
