Re-Stor Midlands

Re-Stor Midlands restores, repairs, draught-proofs and double-glazes original timber sash and casement windows. Decayed timber is cut out and spliced with new wood, and a two-part epoxy resin filler is used for repairs. Other work includes replacing broken glass and re-puttying or beading, cleaning sash boxes, renewing cords, and fitting new pulleys, lifts and catches in brass or chrome. Its draught-proofing system is built into routed timber beads with brush pile seals, and Slimlite double-glazed units can be fitted into existing frames so the original appearance is kept. The firm also refurbishes period casement windows, fitting window furniture in brass, chrome or cast iron, and makes bespoke timber windows and doors.
