Murphy Associates is an independent planning consultancy set up in 2000, specialising in urban design and conservation and heritage. It has been an incorporated company since 2009. Its director has more than 34 years of planning and development experience in both local government and private practice. The consultancy prepares planning and listed building applications, supporting statements and appeals, and acts as an expert witness. Projects include new development, conversions, extensions, redevelopment, mixed-use and larger residential schemes in rural, urban and coastal locations. Where a project needs it, the firm brings in other specialists to form a multi-disciplinary team, and it welcomes joint working with other consultants.
