The Square Pipe Earband Plain is a simple cast iron collar with a fixing ear at each end, used to fix plain (un-eared) square downpipe to the wall, or to add an extra fixing on a long run.
The U-shaped band wraps around the face of the square pipe and is screwed back through the two drilled ears, holding the pipe at a consistent distance from the wall without altering the pipe itself.
Plain earbands suit restrained Georgian and Regency elevations and utilitarian buildings. For a decorative finish, the same fixing is available in nine ornamental patterns.
All fittings in our square range are cast iron to BS 460:2002, made to the same moulded profile so pipes and fittings line up neatly on the elevation. Every fitting is supplied either in primer, ready for painting on site, or in factory black. For listed buildings and conservation areas we also offer hand-applied linseed oil paint in heritage colours, which stays breathable and flexible and is straightforward to maintain. Stocked items are usually dispatched within 5 to 7 working days; allow around 6 to 7 weeks where a linseed oil finish is specified.
Square pipe sizes: 75mm x 75mm (3″ x 3″) and 100mm x 100mm (4″ x 4″).
Suitable for listed buildings, conservation areas and heritage restoration. For specification support or a project quotation, call 0333 987 4452.

A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the back of the grille that can be opened, partially restricted, or closed entirely without removing the vent from the wall. This allows airflow to be controlled from inside the building, making it suitable for underfloor void ventilation and through-wall ventilation where adjustable airflow is needed.
