The plain round access pipe is a short cast iron pipe section with a bolted oval inspection door, for clearing leaves and debris from a downpipe without taking the run apart.

The door is cast to the curve of the pipe and bolted closed; bed it on a suitable sealant on assembly to keep the joint watertight. As a plain fitting it has no cast ears, so it suits runs fixed with holdfasts, screw-to-wall brackets or ornamental earbands. An eared version is also available.

Fit access pipes at the foot of a stack above the shoe or gully, directly above offsets and bends, and below hoppers on buildings close to trees. On listed buildings, providing access in the right places avoids the temptation to break joints or cut pipe to clear a blockage.

Sizes: 65mm (2½″), 75mm (3″) and 100mm (4″) diameter.

Cast in solid grey iron in the UK to BS 460, and supplied primed for site painting or factory black painted. Linseed oil paint finishes can be quoted on request.

Suitable for listed buildings and conservation area work. For specification advice, a full schedule or a quotation, call 0333 987 4452 or use the contact form.

All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
