Our hopper heads are available with a wide range of pipe connections to suit round, square, and rectangular downpipes. The Calnethorpe No.11 accepts round 65mm, 75mm, and 100mm; square 75×75mm, 100×100mm, and 125×125mm; and rectangular 100×75mm, 125×100mm, and 150×100mm. Yes. The ornamental foliate pattern was widely used in Victorian construction and is appropriate for Grade II listed buildings and conservation area properties. Its decorative character is often preferable to a plain pattern on prominent or formal elevations. We recommend confirming the pattern with your conservation officer as part of any listed building consent application.
The Cast Iron Louvre Airbrick suits Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, semi-detached properties, public houses, agricultural buildings, and workshop structures where the original airbrick was a louvre-face grille. The horizontal fin profile is widely found in British domestic and light industrial construction from the 1870s through to the 1950s.
Yes. A polished brass finish is historically appropriate for period buildings and is generally acceptable to conservation officers for listed building projects. If you are unsure about the specification requirements for your project, we are happy to advise — call 0333 987 4452.
In most cases, replacing like-for-like cast iron guttering on a listed building does not require Listed Building Consent (LBC), provided the replacement matches the existing profile, material, and finish exactly. However, any change of material away from cast iron will almost always require consent. We recommend consulting your local conservation officer before proceeding, and we can provide specification documentation to support your application if required.
The handle is compatible with Lumen Rooflights and most pole-operated rooflight and skylight systems. If you are unsure whether it suits your specific rooflight, call us on 0333 987 4452 and we can advise.
All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
The H540 measures 600mm wide x 340mm deep x 475mm high, making it well suited to substantial country houses, civic and ecclesiastical buildings.
Tuscan Foundry's cast iron hopper heads are available in Standard Black and Heritage Colour finishes. A linseed oil paint finish is also offered — a sustainable, vapour-permeable option particularly appropriate for listed buildings and conservation projects. Heritage colour swatches are available from the team on request.
