The Brass Rooflight Opener Handle – 1520mm is a handmade pole-operated rooflight handle finished in polished brass, designed for use with timber-framed rooflights and skylights that require operation from floor level or from a distance. At 1520mm in length, it is suited to rooflights positioned above head height — common in stairwells, hallways, and double-height spaces in period and traditional buildings.
The handle is constructed with a turned hardwood grip and a polished brass shaft, terminating in a 15mm-diameter hook for engagement with a rooflight stay or fitting. The handmade construction gives each piece a considered, craft quality that suits heritage interiors. It is commonly specified alongside Lumen Rooflight systems but is compatible with any rooflight fitted with an appropriate catch or stay.
Frequently ordered alongside a coat hook, the handle doubles as a decorative wall feature when not in use — a practical consideration in entrance halls and period interiors. Suited to Georgian terraces, Victorian townhouses, country houses, listed buildings, and any project where the opening mechanism should remain visually consistent with the building’s character.

Yes. Cast iron hopper heads are the historically correct choice for listed and period buildings, and a like-for-like cast iron replacement is generally accepted without objection by conservation officers. We manufacture to BS 460 for genuine heritage character and durability.
Polished chrome has a bright mirror finish, while satin chrome has a brushed, low-sheen appearance. Both are available in the telescopic hand winder range. The finish choice typically depends on the ironmongery specification for the project.
Yes. Churches and ecclesiastical buildings are one of our most common project types. We regularly supply large sand cast gutters, rectangular and square downpipes, and bespoke hopper heads for church restorations. Many churches have non-standard profiles that require copy casting. We work directly with architects, church fabric advisors, and quinquennial inspection surveyors. A corner hopper head collects rainwater from two gutters running at right angles and channels it into a single downpipe. They are typically required at internal roof valleys, on hipped roofs, and wherever two runs of gutter converge at a corner. The Regent H1A is designed specifically for this application and is sized to suit the most common gutter profiles.
The Pultney Tapered Hopper Head is available in three pipe connection sizes: 65mm (2.5"), 75mm (3"), and 100mm (4"). Each size connects directly to matching cast iron downpipes via spigot and socket. Compatible downpipe codes are: 65mm — RH025, XRH025; 75mm — RH03, XRH03; 100mm — RH04, XRH04.

Traditional Express (TX) is a cast iron push-fit soil system. Socketless pipes are joined with push-fit sockets and couplings using rubber seals, so there is no caulking on site. LCC uses caulked socket-and-spigot joints and a bitumen coating. TX is quicker to install and can be painted; LCC is the closer match to an original Victorian stack.
