The Rectangular Pipe Front Bend turns a cast iron rectangular downpipe through its broad face, towards or away from the wall. It is used where a pipe leaves a hopper head or gutter outlet, or where a run must kick out at the foot.
Three angles are available: 92.5°, 112.5° and 135°. The 92.5° bend gives a near right-angle turn; 112.5° and 135° give progressively gentler changes of direction.
Where the pipe needs to turn sideways along the wall, through its narrow face, use the Rectangular Pipe Side Bend.
All fittings in our rectangular range are cast iron to BS 460:2002, made to the same moulded profile so pipes and fittings line up neatly on the elevation. Every fitting is supplied either in primer, ready for painting on site, or in factory black. For listed buildings and conservation areas we also offer hand-applied linseed oil paint in heritage colours, which stays breathable and flexible and is straightforward to maintain. Stocked items are usually dispatched within 5 to 7 working days; allow around 6 to 7 weeks where a linseed oil finish is specified.

Our cast iron airbricks are available in three standard sizes: 225mm × 75mm (single course), 225mm × 150mm (double course), and 225mm × 225mm (square format). These correspond to the standard airbrick positions used in Victorian and Edwardian brickwork. Each size is available across the School Board, Louvre, and Ornamental pattern ranges.
In most cases, replacing like-for-like cast iron guttering on a listed building does not require Listed Building Consent (LBC), provided the replacement matches the existing profile, material, and finish exactly. However, any change of material away from cast iron will almost always require consent. We recommend consulting your local conservation officer before proceeding, and we can provide specification documentation to support your application if required.
The H532 measures 560mm wide x 290mm deep x 305mm high, making it well suited to a broad, low-profile design suited to substantial roofs and box gutters on period commercial and civic buildings.

The H529 measures 430mm wide x 290mm deep x 540mm high, making it well suited to multi-storey Georgian and Victorian townhouses with a longer fall to the outlet.
The right size depends on the width of your gutter run and the volume of water you need to collect. The Strayton H42A is available in four widths: 305mm (12"), 355mm (14"), 457mm (18"), and 610mm (24"). As a general guide, wider hoppers suit larger roof areas and heavier rainfall zones. A corner hopper head collects rainwater from two gutters running at right angles and channels it into a single downpipe. They are typically required at internal roof valleys, on hipped roofs, and wherever two runs of gutter converge at a corner. The Regent H1A is designed specifically for this application and is sized to suit the most common gutter profiles.
Yes. Cast iron rainwater goods are widely accepted by conservation officers and historic environment bodies as the appropriate material for listed buildings. Tuscan Foundry's hopper heads are manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460 specification and are suitable for all listed building classes. A linseed oil paint finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for conservation projects.
