The Traditional Express cast iron soil product is an industry leading push fit soil system designed for a lifetime performance. The contemporary cast iron system provides the aesthetic appearance of traditional cast iron soil systems and is suitable for Listed properties and conservation projects.
The TX Push-Fit Socket Plain is the plain-ended jointing collar for the Traditional Express cast iron soil system. The socket contains a pre-fitted rubber gasket (BS EN 681-1) that provides the push-fit seal when the spigot end of a TX pipe or fitting is pushed in. The plain socket has no ears — it is fixed to the wall or soffit using a separate bracket at the socket position, allowing fixing locations to be chosen independently of joint positions.
Each joint in a TX installation requires one socket. 100mm diameter. Pre-painted black gloss finish. Part code: TX4016. From £44.85 +VAT. For specification support, call 0333 987 4452.

Yes. Cast iron airbricks are frequently specified for listed buildings and conservation area properties precisely because they replicate the material and pattern of the original Victorian and Edwardian ventilation grilles. Local conservation officers and building control typically accept like-for-like cast iron replacements without objection. We can provide product specifications and material datasheets to support applications.

For rooflights directly above a worktop or sink, a telescopic screw-jack hand winder is the most practical choice. Available in polished brass, satin chrome, and polished chrome, these openers allow controlled ventilation from a fixed handle position without requiring a pole. The 150mm or 250mm size is typically appropriate for standard-height kitchen rooflights.
Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
