The cast iron downpipe fixing nail provides a simple and period-appropriate method for securing cast iron downpipes to a masonry wall. The nail passes through the ear of an eared pipe section and is driven directly into a mortar joint or wall plug, holding the pipe close to the wall face. This is the traditional fixing method for eared cast iron downpipes on Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian masonry buildings.
Available in 75mm and 100mm lengths to suit the standard range of eared round and square cast iron downpipe sections. Supplied in a pack format. Our cast iron hopper heads are available with 65mm, 75mm and 100mm round outlets, 75mm, 100mm and 125mm square outlets, and 100x75mm, 125x100mm and 150x125mm rectangular outlets, to match the downpipe already on site or specified for the project.
A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the back of the grille that can be opened, partially restricted, or closed entirely without removing the vent from the wall. This allows airflow to be controlled from inside the building, making it suitable for underfloor void ventilation and through-wall ventilation where adjustable airflow is needed.

Our cast iron airbricks are available in three standard sizes: 225mm × 75mm (single course), 225mm × 150mm (double course), and 225mm × 225mm (square format). These correspond to the standard airbrick positions used in Victorian and Edwardian brickwork. Each size is available across the School Board, Louvre, and Ornamental pattern ranges.
