The Osma Drive-in Gutter Spike is a 340mm galvanised steel fixing pin used in conjunction with Osma rise and fall gutter brackets. The spike is driven through the fascia board to provide a secure, concealed fixing point for the bracket riser, avoiding visible surface fixings on the face of the fascia.
Manufactured in high-grade mild steel with a galvanised finish for corrosion resistance. At 340mm, the spike provides sufficient depth of engagement through the fascia and into the rafter or noggin behind. Suitable for use across the Osma range including Roundline, Squareline, Stormline, Superline, and Roofline systems.
Commonly used on new-build housing and refurbishment projects where the clean appearance of the fascia installation is a priority, and where the gutter bracket is being set at a precise fall rather than a fixed angle. The drive-in spike is a consumable item and is typically required one per bracket position.

It sets the dimensional tolerances, materials, and performance requirements a component must meet, so that joints seal, sections align, and the system performs as a whole rather than as isolated parts. All Tuscan Foundry Products components are manufactured to comply with BS 460:2002, which is worth citing directly in specification documents and listed building consent applications. The same manufacturing standard applies to bespoke and copy-cast work, even where the profile itself isn't from our standard range.

Our cast iron hopper heads are available in a standard primed and black-painted finish, ready for on-site topcoats. Heritage colour finishes and factory-applied linseed oil paint are available on request. Linseed oil paint is a vapour-permeable, period-appropriate finish particularly well suited to listed buildings and conservation area properties.
Linseed oil paint is the most appropriate finish for cast iron guttering on listed and historic buildings. It is breathable, flexible, and penetrating — qualities that suit the movement characteristics of cast iron through seasonal temperature changes. Tuscan Foundry Products offers a curated range of heritage linseed oil colours. For modern applications, a high-quality exterior oil-based paint system over a metal primer is also acceptable.
The H543 measures 504mm wide x 185mm deep x 200mm high, making it well suited to wide, shallow proportions that suit box-gutter outlets on period roofs, terraces and commercial premises.
The in-house Premier Extra coating is formulated for a life expectancy of around 10 years under normal weather conditions, provided any impact damage or surface scuffing is made good promptly. Coastal locations or higher pollution levels can shorten this, so it's worth asking your local stockist or paint manufacturer for site-specific advice.
