A genuine cast iron rainwater pattern orignally used in and around Nottingham, hence Notts Ogee. The profile is only available in the one size (4.5″) and has a flat base unlike the more traditional ogee (OG) curved pattern.

The cast iron Notts OG stop end closes the open end of a Notts Ogee gutter run. The asymmetric front face of the Notts OG profile is maintained at the terminal point, completing the run neatly at a gable end or other point of termination on Nottinghamshire and East Midlands period properties.
As with all Notts OG fittings, the stop end is handed — internal and external variants exist to suit different configurations. The asymmetric profile means the stop end cannot be reversed or flipped. Confirm whether an internal or external stop end is required for your installation before ordering.
Manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460:2002. Single size 115mm (4.5″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish. Specified on listed buildings and heritage restoration projects throughout Nottingham, Derby, Leicester, and the wider East Midlands where the Notts OG is the historically correct profile.

The louvre face provides directional airflow and offers some resistance to driven rain entering the subfloor void, making it a practical choice for exposed elevations or properties in areas with significant prevailing wind and rainfall. The square-grid (school board) pattern offers a larger open ventilation area but less weather protection.
The School Board Airbrick is suited to Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing, mid-century school buildings, civic halls, public baths, and converted institutional buildings. Its plain square-grid face matches the utilitarian aesthetic of late-Victorian construction and is also appropriate for new heritage-style builds in conservation areas.

The H532 measures 560mm wide x 290mm deep x 305mm high, making it well suited to a broad, low-profile design suited to substantial roofs and box gutters on period commercial and civic buildings.
A hit and miss vent has a sliding plate on the reverse of the grille that can be moved to open or close the ventilation apertures. This allows airflow to be regulated without removing or replacing the grille. The vent can be fully open, partially open, or fully closed depending on ventilation requirements.
