Because the Notts OG is a regionally specific asymmetric profile, ordering a sample is particularly valuable where an existing installation needs matching — the profile cannot be confirmed from photographs alone, and a direct comparison against the surviving gutter section is the most reliable way to ensure compatibility.
The Notts OG is found predominantly on Victorian properties in Nottingham and the East Midlands, but also appeared on period buildings throughout Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and parts of the wider Midlands.
