A cast iron cowl for the vent terminal of a 100mm traditional LCC soil stack.

The LCC soil cowl is a cast iron cap for the vent terminal at the top of a 100mm soil stack. It keeps rain, birds and debris out of the pipe while leaving the stack open to ventilate.
It fits the top of the stack and gives a finished, traditional termination above the eaves, in keeping with the cast iron below. For other pipe sizes, or where a lighter guard is wanted, use a wire balloon.
Size: 100mm (4″).
Cast iron to BS 416-1:1990, supplied with a black bitumen coating as standard.

Yes. Cast iron is the original material for external soil stacks on most period buildings, and like-for-like replacement in cast iron is usually what conservation officers expect. Check with your local planning authority whether listed building consent is needed for the works.

All of our cast iron radiators are availbale as standard with a 1/2″ BSP (15mm) connection. We are though also able to supply many of our radiators and valves with 3/4″ BSP connections. Due to the size proportions of some radiators and valves 3/4″ connections may be more suitable.
Victorian properties most commonly used Ogee (OG) gutter profiles, including the standard Cast Iron Ogee and the G46 Moulded Ogee. Half Round guttering was also widely used, particularly in the later Victorian period. The correct profile depends on what is already present on the building — we recommend inspecting any surviving sections and matching the profile, size, and socket direction exactly. We supply 19 standard gutter profiles and can copy-cast any non-standard profile from a drawing, photograph, or physical sample.
