A genuine half round beaded cast iron rainwater system with double beading.
The cast iron beaded half round 135 degree gutter angle provides an obtuse corner fitting for the beaded profile — the traditional guttering system across Scotland, northern England, and wherever the Victorian and Edwardian building stock predominates. The 135 degree fitting handles bay windows, angled elevations, and buildings where a square 90 degree turn is not appropriate, while maintaining the characteristic double bead of the profile throughout the run.
Manufactured in solid cast iron to BS 460:2002 and available in the four standard sizes: 100mm (4″), 115mm (4.5″), 125mm (5″), and 150mm (6″). Supplied in primed or factory black finish. Connects to gutter sections and other fittings via the standard socket-and-spigot joint.
Specified on listed buildings, conservation area properties, and heritage restoration projects where the beaded half round is the correct historic profile. Particularly common on Scottish domestic and institutional architecture. Accepted by Historic Environment Scotland and conservation officers across Scotland and northern England.

The Antique Black finish suits Victorian, Edwardian, and inter-war buildings where ventilation ironwork was painted rather than polished — estate houses, terrace housing, civic buildings, and rural properties. It is also correct for listed buildings and conservation area properties requiring like-for-like replacement of original ornamental cast iron vents.
The Antique Black finish is cast iron with a blackened surface — the most historically accurate finish for cast iron ironwork and the most appropriate for the majority of heritage applications. Polished Lacquered is cast iron with a bright polished surface sealed with clear lacquer, suited to interiors and sheltered locations where polished ironwork is the specification. Polished Brass is solid polished brass throughout — the correct choice where existing building fittings are in brass or where a warm metal tone is required.
The Brass Rooflight Hand Winder Opener – Telescopic is available in 150mm, 250mm, and 300mm sizes. The telescopic mechanism provides flexibility to accommodate varying rooflight positions and throw requirements. Throw: 165mm.
Yes. All our mild steel brackets are supplied in either silver or black zinc plate. This coating protects the metal however, both will need painting prior to installation.
We have chosen to use zinc plating for two reasons; firstly that it is a more environmentally friendly than galvanising and secondly that it does not block up the threaded part of the rise and fall cups in the way that galvanising does.
We are able to place dates and initials and insignia onto most of our flat faced rainwater hopper heads.
Casting of iron is an imperfect processs. It is possible with some cast iron radiators that you will get minor imperfections in the surface finish. When radiators are painted this will reduce and over the years every additional coat of paint applied will provide a smoother more equal finish.
The H1 is available to accept round pipe connections in 65mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm diameters. The 65mm and 75mm variants measure 305mm wide by 197mm deep and 210mm high. The 100mm variant measures 355mm wide by 230mm deep and 240mm high. A 150mm connection option is also available — please contact the team for dimensions.

Yes. Cast iron hopper heads are the historically appropriate choice for listed buildings, and are generally preferred by conservation officers and local planning authorities over modern plastic alternatives. Tuscan Foundry cast iron hopper heads are manufactured in solid grey iron and are suitable for use on listed buildings and within conservation areas. A linseed oil finish is also available, which is particularly appropriate for sensitive heritage projects.
