Traditional Sash Restorations

Traditional Sash Restorations is a family-run joinery manufacturer near Manchester that makes, restores and installs traditional sash windows. It was founded by David, a bench hand joiner who learned the full manufacturing side of the trade, starting with casement windows and stairs before moving on to box sash windows, both traditionally weighted and with spiral balances. His bench training included circular work and Gothic arches, and he developed an interest in the conservation of architectural heritage. David has now retired and passed the business to his sons, Daniel and Aaron, whom he trained in all aspects of bench joinery, from making box sash windows to restoring and installing them.
