Traditional Carpentry and Joinery

Traditional Carpentry and Joinery is a small family business specialising in the repair and maintenance of traditional half-timbered and historic buildings, for commercial and domestic clients. It also makes purpose-made joinery for projects of all sizes and repairs sash windows. Its craftsmen, Stephen and Robert, have given sash window repair demonstrations at a Ty Mawr Lime day in 2006, a full day’s talk to architects and conservation officers in Llandrindod Wells in 2008, and a two-day demonstration at Interbuild 2008 at the NEC for the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. For these events they built a sample sash window that comes apart to show its components and typical repairs, such as pulley stiles and wagtails.
