Thomas Weston Sash Windows

Thomas Weston Sash Windows restores and repairs traditional timber sash windows on period homes across Cornwall and the South West. Restoration involves cutting out rotten or decayed timber and replacing it with timber splices, using Repair Care window resin methods where needed. Repairs include freeing stuck or painted-shut sashes, curing rattles, renewing worn cords, pulleys and weights, and repairing staff and parting beads, with the aim of keeping original features rather than replacing them. Maintenance covers checks on pulleys and ropes and reglazing single panes in linseed putty. The firm also specialises in traditional finishing with linseed oil paint, carrying out full preparation, priming and top coats, and offers wooden window repair more generally.
